Two week notice.

Before I start I just wanted to say that I am really upset about this weather we had such a beautiful week last week and then this came.  This does not feel like spring to me at all.  Yesterday due to the horrible weather my boss was not able to come in so instead of telling him in person about my two weeks notice I had to do it through an email.  Which I was not to happy about but it had to be done!  So I wrote him an email and this is what it said:

Josh,

I thank you for the opportunity to work for Morley on the Hyundai Project.  I consider it to be an honor to have been chosen.  My time here has been very impactful.  I have strengthened my skills in customer service and the call center setting.  So I thank you.  I have been recently given the opportunity to use my educational background in a position that will begin the journey toward my career of choice.  This letter is to inform you of my transition in two weeks to Shapers Salon.  It is with great excitement that I take the next steps to advance my skills in cosmetology.  Again, I thank you for the opportunity to learn and grow in the Morley Companies.  With equally great joy and sorrow April 1, 2011 shall be my last day at Morley.

Thanks again,
Brooke Hazen

I still have no clue if he has received my email since he is not here again today.  BUT hopefully he is okay with the situation and I can enjoy my last few weeks being employed with Morley.

  1. From a person that has received MANY letters of resignation when I was a working woman, that was really well written. That is a letter that would make me want to rehire you in the future if you ever needed it.
